Both the Human Factors Initial and Refresher courses are mandatory training requirements for all personnel working within an EASA Part 145 organisation, as outlined in AMC2 145.A.30(e).
Human Factors courses are designed to highlight the implications of error, organisational safety culture, procedures, safety policy and communication methods.
The JMC Human Factors courses will:
- Explain the need to take human factors into account in a maintenance environment and identify the limits of human performance;
- Explain the social, psychological and physical factors that affect human performance;
- Explain how communication methodology and work functions affect performance; and
- Examine how errors and hazards in the workplace contribute to accidents and how these can be avoided.
