In March 2009, EASA Decision 2009/007/R resulted in the amendment of the Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) for Part 145 as they pertained to fuel tank safety issues.
The updated AMC3 145.A.30(e) required personnel operating within organisation holding a Part 145 approval to have undertaken extensive training in relation to fuel tank safety.
The JMC Fuel Tank Safety course will:
- familiarise students with the core considerations of fuel system safety issues including it’s common language, history of issues and the key practical considerations; and
- to enable students to conduct their everyday tasks, whilst acknowledging the challenges posed by fuel tank system safety and to ensuring the continued airworthiness of aircraft they are maintaining.
JMC’s Fuel Tank Safety (SFAR 88) courses have been designed to satisfy the requirements of AMC3 145.A.30(e) and in accordance with Appendix IV to AMC 145.A.30(e) and 145.B.10(3)
