Trainee Stores Person

JMC Recruitment are currently working with  a leading FBO and Maintenance Repair Organisation who are looking for a keen Trainee Stores Person to join their expanding team, based in Stansted on a permanent basis.

Reporting directly to the Stores Manager the Trainee Stores Person will assist with the day to day running of the busy Stores department while providing a proactive and efficient service.  The role will require a flexible approach with the ability to multitask.

Duties Include:

• Assisting with the day to day running of the Stores department
• Issuing tooling, consumable and rotable aircraft parts to engineers. (Training will be given if required)
• Ensuring correct material handling and storage conditions are maintained in line with regulation standards. (Training will be given if required)
• Performing inventory control, paying particular attention to shelf-life items and tooling due for calibration (Training will be given if required)
• Keeping a clean and tidy working environment while optimising space utilisation
• Ensuring the best level of service is offered and maintained for both internal and external customers
• Driving of company vehicles
• Out of hours working if and when required

The successful Trainee Stores Person will be able to demonstrate the below skills and attributes

• Computer literate with experience in ERP software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
• Current counterbalance license would be beneficial, but not essential.
