Tool Crib Specialist

JMC are working with a world leading MRO Civil Aviation Service Provider who are currently looking for a Tool Crib Specialist to join their team at their new heavy base maintenance facility in Malta.

This is a permanent role based in Malta with accommodation available for the 1st year.

As Tool Crib Specialist, you will be responsible for issuing equipment in a timely manner and in compliance with operating procedures and standards.

Duties include:

• Promoting a positive Safety Culture and to ensure that Safety and Quality Policy is communicated/promoted and implemented within the Organisation.
• Ensuring that all elements of the SMS are properly implemented, maintained and continuously improved by fulfilling all SMS related duties and responsibilities as defined in SMS Manual.
• Keeping track of all tools which were issued to production or sent for repair and/or calibration;
• Checking the status of tools prior issuing and upon return back to the tool crib;
• Liaising with the Tooling & Equipment team to ensure that tools required are available and in good working order;
• Performing daily basic maintenance on tooling and escalate and report when there is the need for heavier repair;
• Performing minor routine maintenance and repairs;
• Ensuring housekeeping and 5S principles are applied all the time;

The successful Tool Crib Specialist will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

• Previous working knowledge within a Tooling environment
• Be able to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Be computer literate with strong knowledge of MS office applications.
• Be able to communicate well in English.
