Structures Workshop Supervisor

JMC are working with a leading Aviation Structures company based in Bournemouth looking to recruit a new Structures Workshop Supervisor to join their team. This position has excellent career prospects, the successful applicant does not need to have prior supervisory experience as full training will be provided. This is a Permanent Position based in Bournemouth.
40 hour week, Monday- Friday

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the day to day running of the workshop to ensure compliance with Company Engineering Procedures.  Other duties involve:

·        Control work packs issued to the workshop for repair and modification work

·        Liaise with aircraft engineers for on-aircraft repairs and modifications

·        Ensure all required paperwork is raised and completed and required manuals, drawings and repair/modification instructions are available for use and be conversant with the use of Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, specifically AMM, IPC and SRM.

·        Be a signatory for Form Ones raised for work carried out within the workshop

·        Ensure work is carried out to the company required standards whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment within the workshop and throughout its working practises.

·        The Supervisor will control stock material within the workshop

Skills and experience required

In order to be successful in this role the successful applicant will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

·        Experience of working in a part 145 environment

·        Potentially be a sheet metal worked or composite technician looking to take the next step in their career

·        Be a willing learner

·        Strong Communication skills

·        IT Literate

·        Right to live and work in the UK
