Sheet Metal Router Operators (Nights)

JMC are working with a highly respected and market leading Engineering business based in Bishops Stortford who are looking to recruit Sheet Metal Router Operators to join their successful team on the Night Shift.

This is a Permanent Position based In Bishops Stortford. 39 hours per week, Monday- Thursday, 5pm- 3:30 am.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to Operate and program CNC routers to produce sheet metal work components to for assemblies and welded assemblies.

Other duties involve:

·        Set up and operate and program CNC routers (5 and 3 axis)

·        Set up and operate Flo-Jet water jet profiler (2 axis)

·        Set up and operate fabricating machines including guillotine and presses.

·        Develop parts from drawings and to produce detailed parts.

Skills and experience required.

·        Previous experience knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industry.

·        Experience using 5 and 3 axis CNC routers (V Carve Pro and AlphaCam preferred)

·        Experience using Flo-Jet water jet profiler highly desirable

·        Ability to read, understand engineering drawings and aerospace specifications
