Planning Engineer

Are you a Planning Engineer looking for a new challenge?

JMC Recruitment are working with one of the UKs leading, independent MROs who are looking for a Planning Engineer to join their exceptional team.

This is a permanent role, starting as soon as possible, based in South Wales

Reporting to the Planning Supervisor the Planning Engineer will be responsible for planning all maintenance requirements and ensuring they are performed and completed in accordance with the MPD, AMP and any customer requirements. Working within Part-145 Regulations, the Planning Engineer will effectively manage key planning processes to ensure all maintenance inputs are compliant with all airworthiness requirements and maximise aircraft serviceability.

Duties include:

  • Taking the lead role with the allocated Planner, project managing the aircraft maintenance work pack.
  • Initiating the build-up of the work pack in accordance with Company Procedures and Processes to ensure all relevant aircraft maintenance folders have been created.
  • Assembling the work pack received from the customer.
  • Identifying  CMT, CDCCL, EWIS, EZAP and ETOPS tasks.
  • Creating and carrying out regular audits and updates of List of Work (LOW) containing the final work scope.
  • Managing the requirement for third party inputs to meet the aircraft maintenance requirements.
  • Preparing and chairing Pre-Input Meetings prior to aircraft arrival.
  • Communicating the project plan to the Production Planning team.
  • Monitoring progress, re-plans and schedules additional work prior to aircraft input.
  • Reviewing ATL and all ADDs and captures through NRCs and WCRs on aircraft arrival

The successful Planning Engineer will be able to demonstrate the below skills and attributes:

  • Previous working knowledge within a Planning role or experience within an aviation MRO Part-145 environment
  • Relevant and demonstrable experience within an aircraft maintenance environment
  • Appropriate technical qualification, such as an engineering apprenticeship, HNC or City & Guilds in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work well with a fast paced environment
  • Right to live and work in the UK
