Engineering Technician
Are you an experienced Engineering Technician within the Aviation/ Aerospace industry looking for a new challenge?
JMC are working with a leading FBO and Component Maintenance Repair Organisation based in Harlow, looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to join their team.
This is a Permanent Position based in Harlow with an immediate start date.
Reporting to the General Manager the Engineering Technician will be responsible for providing engineering support to the workshops as well as tasks to support the office engineering activities
Duties include:
- Assisting the Planning Engineer in allocating jobs to workshops using existing repair processes.
- Assisting in engineering new component repair / maintenance requests.
- Resource planning
- Procurement of spares / materials
- Parts / stock management
- Customer liaison, including providing progress updates and quotations.
The successful Engineering Technician will have the following attributes:
- Previous mechanical engineering experience essential
- Experience in a machine shop environment would be beneficial.
- Previous experience in an aerospace / MRO industry would be advantageous.
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical data.
- IT literate with good planning and organisational skills. Knowledge of TracWare / AeroTrac system would be advantageous but not essential.
- Right to live and work in the UK already in place
