Design Engineers (Aerospace / Aviation)
Design Engineers from an aerospace / aviation background with knowledge of AutoCAD (Electrical) and SolidWorks (Mechanical) are required for a design and test project on Boeing aircraft in the UK.
This long-term contract opportunity will offer a hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week in the officer and 2 days working from home.
Design Engineers will be required to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and specialise in one or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical;
- Weight and Balance;
- Avionics;
- Electrical generation and distribution;
- Power generation – APU and generator control highly desirable;
- Fiber Optics;
- Aerodynamics and Computational Fluid Dynamics;
- Icing analysis and ice protection systems;
- Flight Test of large aircraft including FTI installation and use, auto-flight, flight envelope and stability;
- Environmental Characteristics including noise and emissions;
- Lightning direct and indirect;
- Technical Publications including ICA and OSD;
- System Safety – FHA and SSA for systems up to DALA;
Successful Design Engineers will have the following attributes:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within an aviation / aerospace environment
- Demonstrable competence in one of the above fields.
- Excellent software skills as appropriate to specialism (AutoCAD skills for electrical engineers, SolidWorks skills for mechanical engineers)
- Ability to communicate concisely and accurately in drawings/data/written technical reports to a high standard of presentation;
- Ability to manage own workload and deliver in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Hold Right to Work in the UK / UK Settled Status
