Stores Manager

Are you an experienced Stores Manager looking for a new challenge?

JMC are working with a leading MRO Organisation based in Gatwick, looking to recruit a Stores Manager to join their expanding team.

This is a Permanent Position based in Gatwick with an immediate start date.

The Stores Manager will be responsible for the operational performance of the stores and ensure the correct staffing is available to support the aircraft maintenance needs for the line station. Ensuring the timely delivery of materials to the production staff and provide management of the mandatory tasks within the stores environment such as inspection and dangerous goods movements.

The responsibilities of the Stores Manager will involve:

  • Management of stores operation, ensuring Goods in receipt and dispatch in agreed timeframes and at the correct quality standard
  • Management of Stores staff and production procurement staff in respect of shifts, cover and training
  • Liaising with Line station manager and production staff to determine support priorities
  • Stores planning and development including Audit standard requirements, workflow and efficiency with continuous improvement in mind
  • Communicating to the Logistics Manager on targets and delivery of materials in relation to this
  • Controlling and monitoring of C and E ensuring stock levels are met and costs accounted for
  • Managing calibration requirements across business
  • Managing tool provision and tracking
  • Liaising with Safety and Compliance to ensure compliance with procedures and audits
  • Initiating procedure change in consultation with Logistics Manager and safety and compliance department
  • Assisting with the promotion of compliance and safety issues within the company and to customers, through the promulgation of appropriate media
  • Ensuring FRMS compliance within the stores environment

In order to be successful in this role the Stores Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • 3 years working in an aircraft maintenance or airline environment; or
  • 5 years working in a Stores environment
  • Excellent knowledge of Aviation standards in an airline maintenance environment (EASA)
  • Excellent knowledge of the application of Stores working practices and requirements
  • High standard of English language (written and oral)
  • High standard of computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office Suite
  • Right to live and work in the UK
