Property and Facilities Manager

Are you an experienced Property and Facilities Manager looking for a new challenge?

JMC are working with a leading MRO Organisation based in Prestwick, looking to recruit a Property and Facilities Manager to join their team.

This is a Permanent Position based in Prestwick with an immediate start date.

Reporting to the Base Maintenance Manager, the Property and Facilities Manager will be responsible for sites and facilities in Prestwick and occasionally Manchester. Working in a fast paced but safety-conscious, strategic and tactical environment ensuring a high level of quality and safety. Also helping to define the strategic and efficient improvement of facility maintenance programs.

The responsibilities of the Property and Facilities Manager will involve:

  • Planning budgets and schedules facility modifications, including estimates on equipment, labour, materials, and other related costings
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance programs in the hangar and workshop
  • Developing and overseeing the execution of all contracts related to the operation of the sites
  • Ensuring that the management of waste from the facility is accomplished in a compliant and cost effective manner
  • Ensuring the facility exceeds the standards for Health and Safety compliance
  • Preparing and maintaining facility operational budgets
  • Maintaining professional working relationships with our business partners, contractors and project managers
  • Interfacing with stake holders and leadership on a daily basis to coordinate project and operational activities form business case to completion
  • Repairing or organising the repair, maintenance of lighting systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, fire protection and alarms
  • Maintaining and restocking Safety Stations, ensuring compliance with COSHH requirements
  • Keeping records of all facility maintenance performed
  • Making recommendations to managers on systems scheduled services
  • Coordinating the use of contractors for facility repairs and upkeep as needed
  • Inspecting outside structures and systems such as lighting, pavement condition, signs, horticultural elements and organise maintenance as required
  • Complying with all airport authority rules and regulations and airport security requirements
  • Hosting facility audits for HSE, EA and any other bodies as required
  • Owning company procedures with regards to airport security and building operations

In order to be successful in this role the Property and Facilities Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • NEBOSH – GC Level
  • 5 years of facilities management experience
  • Knowledgeable project manager
  • Ability to display strong initiative, internal motivation and a willingness to take on responsibilities beyond those explicitly defined
  • Travelling when required
  • Right to live and work in the UK
