How JMC Have Been Supporting Contractors, Clients & Candidates Through COVID-19

COVID-19 has caused unprecedented disruption to employees and organisations worldwide. With hundreds of thousands of lives lost globally, millions of employees have lost their jobs, been furloughed or experienced significant pay cuts. The aviation industry has been hit considerably hard causing airlines to park aircraft and reduce routes as a direct result of the uncertainty presented by the pandemic.

During these unsettling past few months our dedicated team have been navigating our way through the situation as it progresses around the world. We have been communicating frequently with our clients, contractors and candidates to find out how we can best support them. JMC have provided regular guidance and communication to our clients and contractors on: workplace hygiene; protecting your health whilst at work; industry conditions; and lockdown restrictions and what they mean.

Committed to delivering our services to an excellent standard worldwide – and with staff working remotely, our recruitment team issued informative blogs on remote working and CV writing to assist our candidates during these challenging times. Our specialist recruitment experts are continuing to recruit globally – please get in touch.

JMC’s operations team have been working closely with our contractors to ensure those placed across Europe, Asia and The Americas were repatriated quickly and safely; and we have been continually monitoring the situation worldwide and have teams in place globally ready to be deployed safely.

In order for us to better understand how the global pandemic has impacted aviation professionals, we have been conducting our own research. This valuable information obtained will be used for us to support industry leaders in building their recovery and growth strategy, as well as advising how to manage attraction and retention of professionals as the industry emerges from the pandemic.

Many companies have adapted their operations significantly by restructuring their businesses according to customer and market needs. During these past few months, JMC have been reviewing our systems and processes, whilst communicating closely with our clients, to find out how we can best support their talent and manpower needs.

Committed to helping organisations fulfil their potential JMC deliver bespoke and flexible outplacement solutions. Ensuring that organisational change is managed in a way supportive of the ongoing successful achievement of a business mission is an area we recognise as of high importance. When faced with redundancies to support the restructure of a business, protecting an employer’s brand and reputation becomes one of the many challenges that have to be navigated.

To support this challenge, we offer flexible and responsive outplacement services to help individuals who are exiting the business by helping them establish themselves in the modern job search market and secure new opportunities. Our services focus on education and coaching to ensure individuals are equipped with how to navigate the current job market, the use of social media and networking to support their job search, support with writing CVs and developing interview skills as well as focusing on their mindset, resilience and wellbeing.  JMC’s specialist consultants remain on hand to help – please get in touch for support tailored to your business needs.

With over 12 years’ experience providing aviation manpower and engineering services, JMC have been swiftly responding to the global requirement to protect employees – readjustments have been made to continue to protect the health and safety as well as wellbeing of our staff. These include implementing regular cleaning and disinfection routines and revised layouts ensuring social distancing measures can be implemented between workspaces, offices and in the canteen.

We fully understand that both organisations and individuals are currently experiencing setbacks and difficulties; and we are proud to continue to help support our clients, contractors and candidates in any way we can.
