B737 Flight Length Sensitive Tasks

Back to case studies

Fuel tank specialists deployed by JMC Engineering have successfully supported scheduled base maintenance activities at a number of European MRO’s throughout 2019 / 2020 by undertaking Flight Length Sensitive (FLS) tasks on the Boeing 737NG.

With the specific nature of the work in areas of limited accessibility our teams are managed by a dedicated team leader to ensure that all aspects of the project are controlled and managed in conjunction with your requirements; considering the limited space and large volumes of sealant needing to be removed and reapplied after inspection.

Mandatory tank structure inspections are carried out and after that our tank specialists remove old sealants prior to cleaning the inspected surfaces. All prepared areas are then inspected before the preparation of the surfaces and the sealants reapplied.

To date our team has undertaken over 25 FLS projects across Europe with all works issued a ‘Certificate of Conformity’ to assist with the management of P145 approval.
